Easy scones recipe
easy scones Ingredients:
2 cups all-purpose flour, unsifted
3 tsp baking powder
2 Tbsp granulated sugar
1/2 tsp table salt
4 Tbsp butter
3 medium eggs
Preheat your oven to 400°F.
Use a large mixing bowl to mix the flour, baking powder and sugar and salt.
mix the butter into the flour until the mixture looks like crumbs.
In another bowl, beat two eggs and stir in the cream. Then stir the egg-cream mixture into the dry ingredients in the other bowl.
Put the dough onto a floured board and press it together into a large lump. If it doesn't hold togetherthen add a little water a tablespoon at a time until it does stick together. Don't overwork the dough, though.
Roll the dough out around 1 inch thick. Use a pastry cutter with serated edges to cut out your scones.
Grease the baking sheet pan with butter or lining it with parchment paper.
Then place scones on the baking sheet.
now separate the third egg and beat the egg white. Then brush the tops of the scones with the egg white.
Bake for arounf 15 minutes or until golden.
When they have cooled down you can cut in half and fill with cream or jam, maybe even both.

They are all simple to do and don't take a lot of time to cook. Like all things in life it's the getting the ingredients together before you can start that can take the time. So plan to make some of these next week and put what you need onto your shopping list.
