crusty bread pizza Ingredients:

crusty bread pizza

1 Ciabatta bread or 1 thick french stick

1 Onion

2 Cloves of garlic

2 table spoon of Olive oil

400g (14oz) Can of chopped tomatoes

Half a teaspoon of dried mixed herbs

Salt and ground black pepper

250g (9oz) Mozzarella Cheese

2 table spoons of grated Parmesan cheese

Method for making:

Cut the top and bottom of the onion and peel. Then cut it in half and slice it up. Then peel the garlic cloves and crush them.

Heat 2 table spoon of oil in a frying pan and gently cook the onions and garlic until they are soft.

Now add the can of chopped tomatoes, salt, pepper and herbs. turn up the heat until it boils.

Next turn the heat down to medium and let the topping cook for around 10 minutes until most of the liquid has boiled off.

Take the pan off the heat and leave it to cool for 10 to 15 minutes. Now turn on your oven to 200 c, 400 f, Gas mark 6.

Next put your bread on a chopping board and carefully cut in half along the length. Put each half onto a baking tray cut side up.

Now spread the topping sauce onto the bread on your tray. then slice the mozzarella cheese as thinly as you can and lay the slices on top.

Now sprinkle the Parmesan cheese on top of everything and put in the oven to bake for around 15 minutes until the cheese is bubbling.

Take the baking tray out of your oven and let cool for 5 minutes. Now cut into smaller pieces ready to eat.

Crusty bread pizza is a really tasty toddler meal that is simple to make and the kids will love.
